How Noted. Assistant Came to Life

Hi, I’m Allison, the founder of Noted. Assistant, and I’m excited to share my story with you. But to truly understand how this all started, I have to take you back to a time when I didn’t set out to be an entrepreneur. In fact, for a long time, I followed the script—one that promised stability, predictability, and success if I just played by the rules.

The Corporate World and the Struggle for Alignment

I built my career in HR, first in the corporate world and then in a fast-paced startup, thinking I had found my lane. Everything looked great on paper, but something was missing. No matter how hard I tried to climb the corporate ladder, there was always this nagging feeling that I wasn’t fully in alignment with myself. I was pouring my energy into systems I didn’t build, for goals that weren’t my own.

What I really craved was more freedom, more creativity, and most of all—more control over how I worked and who I worked with. It became clear to me that the traditional path wasn’t the one I wanted to walk anymore.

The Turning Point: Charm City Picnic

The real turning point came when I took a leap of faith and started Charm City Picnic. It was a business that perfectly blended my love for Baltimore with my creative side. Organizing beautifully curated picnics gave me a taste of what it meant to build something from the ground up, and honestly, it was exhilarating. But as any entrepreneur knows, building a business isn’t just about passion—it’s about operations, logistics, and the daily grind of keeping things running smoothly.

That’s when I had my “aha” moment. While I was able to bring the creative vision to life, I realized that the real challenge for many small business owners, especially creatives, was not with their craft, but with everything else—the emails, the scheduling, the invoicing, the systems. All those little details that make the business run, but don’t necessarily feed your soul.

The Birth of Noted.

I had spent years in HR, fine-tuning processes, making things run smoothly, and supporting teams behind the scenes. What if I could take all that experience and apply it to help other entrepreneurs stay on top of their workload, so they could focus on what they do best? That’s how Noted. was born.

I took my expertise in organization and business operations and turned it into a service designed to help small business owners manage the tasks that often feel overwhelming. Whether it's streamlining admin, managing client communication, or providing clarity through structured systems, Noted. was created to make entrepreneurship easier and more efficient for those who are passionate about their craft but need support with the details.

Where I Am Today: Helping Entrepreneurs Build and Grow

Now, I get to partner with visionaries, makers, and doers, providing the structure that lets their businesses thrive. It hasn’t always been easy—entrepreneurship is a constant lesson in resilience—but it’s the most fulfilling work I’ve ever done. And in the spirit of Charm City, I’m here to help others build, grow, and create something that lasts.

When I think about where I am today and how far I've come, I’m filled with gratitude for the opportunity to do meaningful work with incredible clients. My mission is to help entrepreneurs like you gain back the time and space to focus on your passion, knowing that the behind-the-scenes operations are in good hands.
